I wanted to share the Holstee Manifesto with you. It is inspiring and thought provoking. Holstee is a newish company founded by brothers Mike and Dan in 2009. In the midst of our recession they did the unthinkable – they quit their jobs and started Holstee which designs and curates planet friendly gear.
Their flagship product is the Holstee t-shirt made of 100% recyled materials (plastic bottles and industrial scraps) and designed with their signature holster pocket. This is a well constructed t-shirt that has a custom cut and form fitting design.
Holstee now has an eco-friendly line of other cool products you can see here. Their whole company philosophy is one to be emulated. Beyond being super eco-conscious about production and packaging and shipping they have teamed up with one of my favorite organizations. Ten percent of their profits go to sponsor micro lending for struggling entrepreneurs through Kiva.org.
These guys are leading the way and people are paying attention. I expect to see this business model copied well into the future.
